Wise Scoring – Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Acceptance

Wise Scoring offers two types of access:

• General Access (for all users).
  Anyone, including minors, may browse publicly available content such as competition schedules, live results, and scoreboards. Parents or guardians should supervise minors' online activity and review these Terms with them.
• Account Access (for Meet Managers, Administrators, and System Users).
  To create an account, manage a competition, or perform administrative actions, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. You must provide an accurate date of birth during account creation so we can verify age eligibility. If you provide false or misleading age or date-of-birth information, we may suspend or permanently block your account. If you act on behalf of a club, federation, or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Permitted Use

You agree to:

• Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
• Refrain from attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, databases, or accounts.
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, security, or scoring services.
• Not scrape, harvest, or misuse competition or athlete data.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. Intellectual Property

All Site content — including text, graphics, code, logos, and competition data presentations — is owned by Wise Owl Works LLC or its licensors and protected by U.S. and international intellectual-property laws. Limited personal, non-commercial viewing is permitted. No reproduction or derivative use is allowed without written permission.

4. User Accounts and Security

Creating an account allows qualified users to register competitions, enter scores, and manage events. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information.
• Keep credentials and access tokens secure.
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or account misuse.

Wise Scoring uses a token-based authentication model with short-lived access tokens and securely stored refresh tokens. Sessions may expire or be revoked for inactivity or security reasons.

5. Future Athlete Accounts

In the future, athletes may be able to claim their profile within Wise Scoring to view historical results and receive score notifications. Athletes under 18 will require parent or guardian consent when claiming or linking a profile. All such features will be governed by this Terms of Service and a companion Privacy Policy detailing data use and parental-consent requirements.

6. User Submissions and Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant Wise Scoring a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that content into our products and services without obligation to you.

7. Export Control and Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export-control and trade laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). You represent that you are not:

• Located in a country subject to U.S. embargo or sanctions; or
• Listed on any U.S. government denied-party list.

You agree not to use or transfer any Wise Scoring service in violation of such laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available."Wise Scoring disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Wise Scoring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Site or reliance on its content.
• Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages shall not exceed $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wise Owl Works LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

11. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

Any dispute or claim arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration shall take place in Louisiana, USA.You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The "Effective Date" above reflects the latest revision. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
